COCKROACH
In Canada there are different kind of cockroaches the most common are German, American, oriental cockroach, brown-banded and wood cockroaches. Most cockroaches are omnivores. They are tough, and hard to kill. They can live for two weeks without a head. They become adults in 3-4 months and can live up to one year.
German cockroach
The German cockroach is the species most often found throughout Canada and the rest of North America. . A female German cockroach can produce 8 egg cases in her lifetime and each egg case may contain 30-40 eggs.
If the infestation is very severe, the cockroaches can be seen during the day time. smaller(1/2″), golden brown, with 2 dark distinctive stripes behind the head are called German Roaches. The German Roach is found primarily in the kitchens and bathrooms. They are brought in from other locations, such as grocery stores or other infested locations. They are common in apartments, as they transfer from one unit to the adjoining unit. They are also the most common roach found in restaurants. Use a high quality bait to get rid of these roaches. Cleanup and sanitation is important.
